saluki crosses taking fox pre-ban?

anybody known of, or have had any experiance of saluki crosses doing the job on charlies?

iv hurd that a saluki greyhound is capable of doing a fox single handedly????

I lamped foxes for many years pre ban,got to see most crosses work,my mate had coursing dogs,he used to say to me our Charlie he'd do you ,he catches foxes he hates them, one night he came out with us,brought Charlie,we got five fox an three water deer,Charlie got the lot, I been looking for a dog like Charlie since,he was saluki greyhound didn't miss a thing that night,I have tried a couple of saluki bull greys since but the wer nothing like Charlie, I'd love one the same as him but ye taking more of a chance bringing a saluki x on for fox,he probably will let u down, ye get good fox dogs in all breeds but if ye get a saluki x doin it,ye have a good dog for the job

Leec, because you haven't seen or heard of them doing it, doesn't mean they can't. Believe you me, there are many out there that did, and some, for their own reasons still are.

whats your point? i personally wouldnt buy a saluki x with intentions of using it for fox, but im pretty sure theres some saluki crossesout there that do the job, iv just baught a dvd called 'one man and his dogs' he runs a saluki/greyhound x bull/greyhound and a collie/greyhound back too a greyhound put across a bull greyhound, he runs both on fox and the saluki cross slams them charlies about like there a toy!

i had a saluki grey x collie grey that caught a fox and its father was regular at getting them saw many fotos and videos of him catching them

my mate has a bullx and i have a saluki. bullx is mustard on foxes and catches the odd hare saluki catches plenty of hares and the odd fox just depends what what your after if u want a fox dog get a bullx if u want a hare dog

my mate has a bullx and i have a saluki. bullx is mustard on foxes and catches the odd hare saluki catches plenty of hares and the odd fox just depends what what your after if u want a fox dog get a bullx if u want a hare dog

spot on mate,some are better than other's some arnt,but they are all lurchers
