jhiggins 48
I recently obtained new jill and shes a great worker however one of my other jills has taken a serious disliking to her. Whenever they are together they fight untill the new one runs away. They are not sleeping together and there hasnt been any improvement for 2 weeks now. How long should i give them before looking at seperation, or will they just get on with it in the end? Many Thanks Quote Link to post
Jamie m 668
Put them in the garden together for a run around but some jills can just be bitches comes down to pecking order if there both dominent might not jell Quote Link to post
KittleRox 2,147
If you have a spare hutch try putting the two of them in it,the dominant jill may see the cage shes in the now as HERS and doesn,t want to share,an unfamiliar cage may do the trick, jmo, may work maybe not Quote Link to post
The one 8,501
Some times they just dont get on ,Is your older jill going hard at it like shes trying to kill the other jill if no leave them together for another wee while and see how it goes as i reckon once there in breeding season mode its harder to introduce new ferrets Quote Link to post
max abell 196
As roxy said try putting them together on nutural ground ie a different hutch we get the same prob most years when we want to introduce new kitts to the ferret court Quote Link to post
jhiggins 48
She is going at her hard but the new jill has taken residence in the sleeping area whilst the other two are sleeping elsewhere. This morning when i checked them, all three were in different areas asleep. Just seems to have upset the balence a bit. I will try housing the them in a neutral hutch and running them in the garden at the weekend and see how that goes. Thanks for all the replies, much appreciated. Quote Link to post
