used to travel from newcastle to edinborugh every friday night till me mate fell asleep at the wheel on way home crashed through fence car flipped hospital for all of us i dog injured sort of drifted away from lurchers after that but i still love them

Big problem tiredness while driving after lamping me an a couple of friends was coming home from hexam ways a few years back me mate fell asleep at the wheel,we crahed into central reservation doin eighty nobody was hurt,my lurcher came out the back, ended up running down motorway I had to run after it nearly got myself killed never mind me beloved dog. I'm sure some lads died on the thelwall viaduct after a nights lamping.they had lurchers in car.I used to stay out till it went light back then, going home while it was still dark was like ye dog jibbin haha if ye do travel far be careful,if ye do get tired pull over for a kip it's better than crashing.

Pre ban I used to travel all over the place to work my dogs just to get them the type of work they was bred for, nowadays I'm still having to go an hour In me car to guarantee a good few runs for the dogs,I still hunt locally to exercise them but to be honest it can be pointless, when ye have good dogs and ye want to see them graft ye find yeself having to travel sometimes. how far do you travel? How often?

why do u want to know this ?

I was just wandering how many people who work dogs had to travel to get the best from their dogs like I have ,and why do we keep dogs bred for working certain quarry if that quarry isn't even available in your surrounding area? I do it because I love to see dogs doing what their bred for. So if I had dogs capable of catching larger stuff which isn't in the countryside around here I'd go an hunt one down wherever it was haha
