A good running brain stamina and drive.IMHO i would prefer a lurcher thats come out of one of these hybreds than a lurcher with a lot of greyhound.

spot on Del, i think you would have to have at least 3/8 saluki in the mix, to get any benefit from these dogs, as it will be diluted down when you x to make a lurcher anyway.?

cheers for replys. i have currently got a saluki grey pup six month out of crash out of jamies jack, put to a pure grey hound out of bret lee. unbelievble how much energy and stamina he has, i can take him for a five mile walk free running , get him back in the house and its like hes never been out. really looking forward to next season now. cheers again, Adam.

dont think the saluk is as good an allrounder as some of the colie type ive kept and definitly not as good as some of the saliki collie type , but i have had some realy good and some it wasnt there to be put in to them all depends the standard you need to pull game etc and the type of saluk cross you keep saw lots some will never be good obeidence others spot on

If you get a good one, then keep hold of it, because it's going to keep the pot full.

Don't always believe the negative storys to the saluki crosses. Go out and see one work, one that is an adult, and that has been trained correctly.

I truely believe that they are not for your avarage jo.
