pianoman 3,587
Welcome to the site Josh.............now get to bed. You turn your back for a few minutes and before you know where you are..... I've finally packed Josh off to bed with a thousand questions per second about you all coming at me. Gentlemen you are all a small lad's hero right now. Thank you most sincerely to each and every one of you who have responded so generously. He had already signed up and posted here when he gleefully told me he's joined the section...! I'll be honest and thought "Oh my God!! They'll think he's Collie!" He really is a bright, polite, lovely kid and very respectful of anyone with the know-how he seeks other than what I can give him. It looks like we are on course to aquire...gulp...a Pre Charged Pneumo (Bloody Devil's device :diablo: ) But, he's a modern lad so, you are his experts as these are not in my sphere of experience and know-how other than a fair bit of test and try-out shooting with them. He's not a bad little shot either. I gave him his first taste when he was 12 years old. He was getting a bit of shooting experience with my TX200HC .177 on my permission. I settle back to enjoy a cigar and out pops a rabbit. Before I can take the rifle from him; THWACK! He hits it straight through the head at 25-plus metres! A right handed lad with a left handed spring rifle! Andy when you pop over this weekend and meet us, you'll hear this story in no uncertain measure from him! Thanks so much again, you great lads! pianoman 3,587
Cheers Craig I am mate, very proud of how he's turning out. Andy. Crossbow, he'd love a look at that! But don't encumber yourself mate. Had a word with Ian this morning. He's about to start drilling and prepare his fields for Barley crops again so, there will be some bloody lovely rabbit sport this year, if the mixy keeps away please God By the way mate, what day do you want to come over; Saturday or Sunday or both?? Simon Quote Link to post
andyfr1968 772
I can fetch the bow over no problem, the biggest thing's the bloody back-stop but I'll manage to fit the guns and all the other kit in my car one way or another Either or, Simon. I'll fit in with you guys, I don't want to impose If you're up for a bit give me a call, or we'll speak towards the weekend. Cheers Quote Link to post

You are pretty much on the money for a rifle for Josh. I was thinking of an AA S200 or Tench reg'd BSA Ultra. He's not a big lad for his age, about 5ft 5in, yet, he will pick up my hefty spring rifles, like my HW80 that dwarf him and he'll shoot away with it till sundown. He instinctively adopts a pleasingly correct hold with a spring rifle when he picks one up and I think he will be right at home with shooting a pcp accurately well. Quote Link to post
