my hounds 308
My mate used hay Quote Link to post
Shazza 52
My mate used hay Hay carries spores and molds that can cause breathing problems and allergies so i wouldn't use it for dogs. A lot of horses are affected by hay allergies and have to be fed soaked hay so i wouldn't take the risk of using it for the dogs either Quote Link to post

gravel 63
Barley straw in the winter, pine shaving any time else Top kennels. Quote Link to post
Guest paceandstamina
straw no good for a running dog with saw quicks, dust gets in and irritates and makes them swell up worse, and holds parasites. quilt from charity shop is warm and clean, £1 or £2 changed when neccessary Quote Link to post
STUNTMAN 552
Barley straw in the winter, pine shaving any time else Top kennels. Shazza 52
Anyone ever used Stable Matting on the run, is there any advantages putting it over concrete? Never tried it for a dog run but it's a bugger to clean as the urine settles underneath it (with horses). Quote Link to post
