According to FIFA....any official in a premier league game must have passed the standard referees test.....for a person to do a line they have to have passed the referees test.....

 

I was surprised to hear exactly what this involved.....its no walk in the park for a man let alone a woman.....i dont know the exact ins and outs i just remember listening to all the fitness tests they have to pass and thinking :icon_eek: This tells a little bit more.

Whilst I agree with the examples you've gave (Fireman and Coppa), We're talking about the job of a linesman/woman here mate. All she's got to do is run up and down the side of the pitch, wave her flag about and more importantly know how to make all her male colleagues a decent cuppa tea at half time :rofl:

 

I think a woman is capable enough to play that role lol.

i dont think Andy grey or the other bloke should have lost there job, but as above you couldnt be ref or lines man, if you aint (past) the exams. So it dont matter if she or any other women or paki, or black were doing the job its still the same exam to pass. :yes: and by all acounts she done the job right, and thats all that matters to me . :yes:
