mk2 with 2 collars or mk3 with one collar?

Recommended Posts

can anyone advise me, looking at getting a new ferret finder. Now i've seen a deben mk2 with 2 collars for around the same price as i can pay for a mk3 with one collar. If i go for the mk2 i can work 2 ferrets and if i lose or damage a collar i've still got one i can use, where as if i go for a mk3 and lose or damage the collar i'm up the swanney because i would'nt be able to replace it straight away. Any advice on either?

First Deben brought out the grey box -the FE model(known as Mk 1 nowadays )and jolly good it was and still is .

Then came the mark 2 .It looks just like the mark 3 but does not have a volume /sensitivity knob on the back.

Basically the mark 2 is not very good it makes hard work of a task the old Mk one excelled at and the battery life of the collars is very short. It was a step backward in development. A mistake by Deben that dented their reputation.

That's why they brought out the mk 3 pretty quick!.
