mcrobo123 0
finally put my fac aplication in on sunday and put down on the form that i had no convictions. driving home from work this evening ive just realised that i got an on fine for not wearing my seatbelt 3 years ago that id completely forgot about. im panicing ever so slightly now what should i do i thaught of ringing the feo in the morning to explain my genuine mistake. i cant believe ive done this i spent so long filling in the forms and thought everything was going so well the policeman who gave me the fine said nothing would go on my record as i didnt get any points? hopefully someone here may know the best course of action to take. thanks in advance rob Quote Link to post
THE GRIFF 8
Give them a ring for your own piece of mind to stop you being worried, I have 3 points for speeding and just got granted 3 rifles on my first application. At least if you ring and tell them it shows you are honest, but its nothing for you to worry about, you could just tell them at the interveiw but you will probably be worried sick for the next couple of weeks if you dont tell them beforehand. Just phone them, get it over and done with and stop panicing!!! Quote Link to post
DERBOY 18
give them a ring in morning , explain every thing , job done . i left a speeding ticket out that i forgot , they never picked it up, but that was ten years ago . i dont think thats going to stop you having your f.a.c . best of luck Quote Link to post
HUnter_zero 58
There is a big difference between " an on the spot fine " and going to court being convicted of a crime. I honestly don't think you have anything to worry about at all. If there are any issues the FEO will ask you when you have your visit. John Quote Link to post
quicksilver 0
I left out having three points for speeding approx 13 yrs ago on my last application , the flo asked me why I didn't list it, I explained it had just slipped my mind. To avoid delay I would contact them and mention it Quote Link to post
mcrobo123 0
cheers eveyone glad too see its not just me who has done this! righto ill get on the blower n get it sorted in the mornin. on a completely different note has anyone had any dealings with humberside police just wondering how quick they usually are with FAC aplications, probably a case of how longs a piece of string but theres no harm in asking Quote Link to post
TWOTWOTHREE 152
I forgot to to mention a speeding fine and 3 points on one of my renewals last year. Didnt remember till it had all been sorted.dont think there is a issue with it for You.your prob doing right thing and calling your feo Quote Link to post
Colster 1
When I did my initial application, I went to my insurance company to get details of SP30's I'd had in the past but were not on my licence anymore. The FEO seemed surprised I'd gone to all that trouble but it's always better to be up front and declare everything. Quote Link to post
hairybull 3
If its like here they dont count an on the spot fine like that as a conviction, agree with Hunterzero. Quote Link to post
