johnny boy68 11,726
ROUND THIS WAY ........ THEY ARE CALLED " SNACKS " SNACKS WERE THE LURCHER OF CHOICE FOR MANY COLLIERS FAMILYS .... A DOG THAT COULD PROVIDE A MEAL AND WIN SOME MUCH NEEDED CASH IN A RACE OF A SUNDAY MORNING ALL THE BEST DUCKWING Funnily enough Duckwing when I was in my teens in the miners strike,a striking miner had a litter of grew's and with times being real hard for them was selling them at what could only be described as a steal.I was lucky enough to acquire a little bitch which was the impetus for me to get into running dogs.......she was turning into a real fine working dog until her life was cut short in a house fire Quote Link to post
Country Joe 1,411
Feel free to add any story/pictures regarding grews be it working or racing There was a racing whippet near me, I think he was non pedigree, they said he was a top racer his name was Indian Joe, anyone heard of him? also I am surprised no one has any info on what Carl Williams of south Wales is now doing, he was always being mentioned in the old Shooting news, he had the whippet Bow, and two brood greyhounds bitches, don't know if he still has dogs, never hear of him now.
