Rey27 83
if your not that bothered about breeding to type then it shouldnt make a difference as long as either Patt of JRT was from working backgrounds. if its just working ability you want... Quote Link to post
skinner 348
no problem as long as both sides are workers Quote Link to post
KawValley 131
Sounds good if they're all workers, but you might consider breeding her back to either a patt or a border rather than introducing a third type (russell). The 3/4, 1/4 cross is a proven breeding pattern that will produce the 3/4 side consistently with the 1/4 out to spice things up. So, if you bred the Patterdale/Border back to a patterdale for example- you'd have 3/4 patterdale and 1/4 Border. Or if you bred her to a Border you'd have 3/4 Border 1/4 Patterdale. This way you'll get more consistency. JMO Quote Link to post

Reddog83 4
Sounds good the dog being lined is 2 years old and never been proven probably never seen a rat your best of going to someone who has a proven line already if you are serious I don't think you are to be honest ...... Why whuld you put a dog into pup on it's first working year???? It's not for need of a pup 2 bring on because she more or less has 1. Quote Link to post
