Roast dinner on sundays. Keep meaning to go to makro and get him some chicken. Seems to be ok on this. This is roughly how I fed my dogs 20 yrs ago as well. Its probally come on a bit since then, so im always up for hearing peoples views and new things.
robo-christ 40
if your feeding kibble i'd go for one between 24-30 % protein and at least 20% fat if the dog works regular that is
Blue one 89
This is the trouble with asking on here what to feed your dog, you get some daft comments and 20 different ways of feeding, which can make a new comer, totally confused!
bleachtastesnice 4
Alright mate no expert myself, I have got my pup on red mills excel, looking good off it, recomended for pups and broody bitches (wife's not a fan thoe...) also get's a bit of mince a couple of times a week. Can get 15kg of the red mills for £20, not expensive and fast delivery, then its onto redmills racer and what he catches when he's older. A link if you want to have a look... http://www.feedem.co.uk/dog-c1/dog-food-c2/working-racing-c6/red-mills-15kg-xcel-p3454

The best is what a dog would naturally eat if it was left to fend for itself. Raw meat and bones! I hope that's easy enough to understand?
shepp 2,285
Best not to get too hung up about feeding, dogs and especially lurchers do well on most feeds.
