how to train my poly

hi yall i was just wondering how cud i train my new polecat hob for the rabbits i already have 2 jills and they ar working with about 4 months i want to start using the new guy aswell but how do i train him

stick him down the holes with a jill she should show him the ropes

but it should be second nature to him

just put him on the ground and he should know what to do. just try get him usto coming back to you make a noise he associates with food so when he pops up in the middle of the brambles you can get him to come to you instead of having to cut yourself up on brambles ha ha.

Just call them when you feed them so they get used to you. Try handle it as much as possible and the rest should just be instinct mate.

Its there natural instinct mate some take to it straight away others take a bit longer keep puting him down with an experienced ferret he will soon get the hang of it

the trouble with youngsters seems to be getting them out they always seem to want to play silly buggers in the hole entrances but they grow out of it

Start him on small sets which deffinatley have a rabbit or two in them.

 

Best start he can get in my opinion.

 

If he doesnt want to enter you will have to put him in behind a more experienced ferret.
