auld salmon 28
stick him down the holes with a jill she should show him the ropes but it should be second nature to him Quote Link to post
gavin88 7
just put him on the ground and he should know what to do. just try get him usto coming back to you make a noise he associates with food so when he pops up in the middle of the brambles you can get him to come to you instead of having to cut yourself up on brambles ha ha. ferretman89 68
Just call them when you feed them so they get used to you. Try handle it as much as possible and the rest should just be instinct mate. Edited January 23, 2011 by ferretman89 Quote Link to post
max abell 196
Its there natural instinct mate some take to it straight away others take a bit longer keep puting him down with an experienced ferret he will soon get the hang of it the trouble with youngsters seems to be getting them out they always seem to want to play silly buggers in the hole entrances but they grow out of it Quote Link to post
Mick C. 229
Start him on small sets which deffinatley have a rabbit or two in them. Best start he can get in my opinion. If he doesnt want to enter you will have to put him in behind a more experienced ferret. Keep trying and it will come good Quote Link to post
anthonytomo 8
2nd nature to them mate they do it without realising they are just some are better at it than others Quote Link to post
