auld salmon 28
not a very good picture but what i do when doing a hedge is when setting put the first pole as close to the hedge as possible and take it out at an angle say 45% then the next two poles straight then kick the next pole right back into the hedge again and carry on this way to the end as i have seen if you set it straight and say you have 100yrds out they seem to run well along the net before they hit it where as if you kind if you do it my way you make it into smaller more managable sections you do not have to do as much running do this on the other side as well and net a few holes the easy ones that you can get too helps with the hole hoppers as they sometimes get back netted this works for me anyway Edited February 5, 2011 by auld salmon Quote Link to post

How I work the ditches and hedgerows very few rabbits bolt across the field they're more likely to run the length of the ditch or hedgerow without leaving its cover for this reason I put stop nets (15-25yarders)through the ditches and hedgerows and then just moving one net further on each time I move on Y.I.S Leeview Quote Link to post
