Karpman 44
Hey guys Today I went to the shop with purchasing a gun on my mind, After much picking up and putting down new and used rifles of all kinds I settled on a tidy AAs200 Mk1 in .22 flavor with Hawke 3-9x40 hd sport scope 10 shot and fell in love! Cost 280 with gun slip pellet lube everything really. Got it home and noticed a screw on the side with a nut on a fair out and loose, Not wanting to break anything I raced to my local gun shop to get it checked out, Basicly he said it's f**ked either been tampered with or the regulator is shot it? excuse the pun. Results from his chrono as follows. Firing at 7.6 ftlb with a 54 deviation in fpe? Got a print out some place. The gun also came with silencer and really liked the early stocks as apposed to the mk3's Got 3 months warranty and chap at the shop were i got it "over and hour" away said to bring it back in the morning and he will sort it, Proper gutted and kind of lost confidence would it be possible to get me money back if need be? all the best karpman Quote Link to post
venomviper 129
hi ya buddy for one yes insist you want your money back as they are not allowed to sell tampered guns matey if you went to the gun shop here by me and got it from them they check it before it goes there and then in front of you but if it is under they tell you that it is and do you still want it if they have sold the gun to you like this then it could have been over power if you see what i mean buddy that way they are selling an F.A.C rifle to you insist you get your money back or exchange it for another one that you may like or they might be able to reset the power for you if not then walk away buddy shay Quote Link to post

I thought at the time it was a little pricey but the 3 month parts and labour warranty and the fact it was a shop seemed to make it worth while. I have had a few plinks in the garden well around 6 mags lol and it was putting pellet on pellet. Have lost total confidence now is my only trouble even though i am very fond of the gun. Cheers karpman Quote Link to post
andyfr1968 772
It's gash of the highest order for the shop to let a gun go out like that, they've clearly not checked the gun over never mind tested it You've every right to ask for a re-fund as it's not fit for purpuse and I'd think twice before buying a gun from them again if they're that slack..... Good luck with it, mate. Cheers. Quote Link to post
ArchieHood 3,692
£280 is not a bad price for the set up you got,ask them to sort it out and Chrono it again so you can see its all as it should be,If not ask for a refund.I've got more or less the same set up bar the scope which I bought from the gentleman above(Hi Shay ).I cant fault the gun.Let us know how you get on. RaiderBoy 19
Should of gone for the raider 10 mate , Got mine out today for the first time since its service and it was consistantly hitting a bottle top at 50 meters Which i think is pretty shit hot. i suppose some of the regs will be able to piss all over that result but i was proud of my ability. venomviper 129
hi ya pal are you in leicester ? your not that far from me buddy i'm only in rugby pal shay Quote Link to post
Karpman 44
Yeah mate, Leicestershire Probably the worst county for a hobbyist in the country lol, And I have tried a few lol. The fishing is fairly crap as is the birwatching and general nature type pursuits no sea of course and full of hill billy's lol. Plenty of places to mooch with me hound though and hopefully shoot:) I am a proper hypocrite by the way, I enjoy nature and birds and fish mammals etc nearly as much as I do hunting and eating them, Some of my views clash and it certainly has not made me popular in some hobby/hunting circles. I do enjoy eating all game, I get deliveries every week from a driven shoot, Rabbits from me buddy and ducks from bosy water park lol. I also enjoy going to see a rare bird or a night on the trent after large smelly carp. And have enjoyed forms of shooting and hunting over the years and will continue to do so. Tree hugger types seem to hate me and my views as in some hobbies theres folks who believe everything has a right to live etc. etc. Would love to carve a career in pest control as we have spoke about shay, Sorry a little off topic guys but the fosters flows lol Karpman Quote Link to post

Karpman 44
Hey guys, Was back at the gun shop this morning waiting for it to open lol, It was soon determined the S200 did indeed have problems, Firing pin and or piston seal? Anyhow to cut a long story short I opted for a different rifle completely one of which i had no idea existed until today! I cam out with a Old but almost perfect Logun solo single shot (gonna get a mag) Simmons 3.8-12 scope with diamond type reticule mounts brand new silencer whisper 180? And a fresh tin of pellets gun was checked chronoed and filled and found to be firing fine etc etc. Had no idea if it was a good buy or not still don't lol but am dam pleased with the way it's shooting holds and group. Even though my groups are a little sloppy at the moment. Shooting Fx .177 pellets at the moment and think i need to try a few others any recommendations would be very welcome. Many thanks karpman Quote Link to post
