Rik 49 Posted January 21, 2011 Report Share Posted January 21, 2011 Going digging Sunday with some experienced mate's which is nothing new,but this time Im taking my dogs for there 1st dig,the dog is 11months and the bitch is 9 months not going to let the bitch go to ground unless there is no one home so she can get the feel of things but the dog has been to ground on empty earths, will be giving him his 1st occupied earth (1st one in so to speak) fingers cross hope he does well Ill let you know what happens Quote Link to post

moggs 18 Posted January 22, 2011 Report Share Posted January 22, 2011 Good luck bud. Entered my dog last week and he went ok, used his nose well and didn't give up, landed with him. He's 2 and half years old. Haven't rushed this one, didn't see the need to. Keep it short and sweet for the dog if possible. Any way your with experienced lads they know the crack. fireman 10,914 Posted January 22, 2011 Report Share Posted January 22, 2011 IMO them two dogs are well old enough to go along to WATCH and have a rag of a dead fox at the end,get them out learning what goes on,the sounds and the bangings are all things they'll be used to come there turn.Dogs left in kennels learn feck all ,a pup or young dog on a chain watching proceedings learns so much more . 2 Quote Link to post
