hi everyone i recently decided to get back into shooting vermin rabits magpies etc after a long absence when a friend told me he had some land to shoot on anyway that fell through so thought i would ask on here,i live in tyne & wear houghton le spring to be exact and would like anything nearby im 49yrs old and do have insurance if anyone has anything please let me know cheers steve

best thing is to get out and get knocking mate!

yep im asking landowners almost every other day its amazing how many knock backs you can get in one week,looks like im target shooting at my garage for a long time yet

Just keep on asking around, mate :thumbs:

 

My most productive shoot is an hours drive from where I live, it's only small but it's a cracking spot for bunnies when the weather's a bit better, there's feck all about just now though...

 

I got it through a friend of a friend of a friend, so to speak. A mate of mine was having a random chat with someone at his local Flat Coat Retrievers club and someone else got into the conversation and happened to mention they were having rabbit problems on their small holding, my mate passed on my number and BINGO!!! a lovely little spot.

 

Stick with it, mate, you'll get there :thumbs:

its getting harder to get permission nowdays,me and my mate had only got to and they both were hard toget and there not massive but a nice size :thumbs:

 

i dont mind you coming for a shoot with me and ste pal :thumbs:

 

also come to the thl meeting look at the top of the page your see it matey then we can all get to no you buddy, :thumbs:

Try local caravan parks also....as thier season is closed at moment and no public around they may be forthcomming....and just keep door knocking mate...someone will need you at some point places to try like grain farms(rats)they may give you permission for rabbits if you do good job clearing rats....Pig/Beef farms also haven for rats and chicken rearing farms always loads arount coups...keep at it mate you will get there :thumbs:

Top idea caravan clubs, I do quite well wiht places public can go, car boot site, outdoor center, sailing club, guy who sells straw. You can see they need help before you ask and can start the conversation something like: Looks like those bunnies have fun around here...

yeh i thought about caravan parks i own one at crimdon dene near hartlepool and it closes for one month in the winter its sbsolutly heaving with rabbits i might ask them only trouble is i dont think the rabbits cause them any problems unless i get some other owners to complain saying the rabbits have chewed through their water pipes ha ha only joking
