hi

he also works on his own like a lurcher

so not a 1 job dog

no mate despite the average salukis reputation they can become proper hunting companions, in this country, and used like this, for different forms of hunting i dont always work him on a lead a lot of his work is off the lead, but he watches me all the time, and knows the score,

leeview this is the gos i told you about last year, (around march time) that i was going to buy off, peter gill,

I thought it might be  still quite young but will mature fast

Good Luck

Y.I.S Leeview

yes mate he is still a bit young and daft i didnt want him to get battered off hares and put off the job, but i could see he would definatley have the potential to be up for it, so this year i will get him on some easy rabbits, then build him up on some easy hares, september onwards fingers crossed, hopefully he,s got the bottle and the aggression to be consistant

I bet it is quite easy to get permission with a hawk in tow too.

Shame the lurcher game has such a bad name.

Ye hawks ye inman these days, most farmers don't mind the ferret and hawk,so long as ye take time to learn how to look after one they be ye free pass to get in with the farmer, once the farmer trusts you, you know yeself "seen a earth looking active there Giles" haha hawks r great in ther own right I'm sure most lurcher, terrier men would soon pick it up, I always look for earths, while out hawking without hawk I probably be goin round same earths over n over. Find yeself everywhere with the hawk, love to fly a gos an run a lurcher together after longear used terriers to flush pheasents an rabbit t hawks plenty times
