My mate gave me a lurcher pup i know she was collie greyhound x sulluki greyhound but nothing special and she did every thing i wanted her to do and more she was exellent on the lamp she caught rabbits and hare in the day she marked rabbit berrys and all for free but the most I've ever paid for a dog was 50 quid lol and i wasn't happy about that lol

It's funny, there has always been a certain hubris amongst dog men about having payed the least for a good dog. A good dog is worth paying for but obviously nice to get for free if your lucky, but people seem to hate saying - aye it cost me 300 quid - but it was f*****g belting! Maybe there are less expectations for a free/unknown dog so its judged slightly less criticly. Whereas with a dog from well known lines your cnstantly looking at it and comparing it.

I gotten a lot of dogs {GOOD} for free, I've paid for some also. But the big BUT is I've spent thousands of dollars shipping them, driving for breedings, picking up pups, delivering pups etc. I have a truck that has 160k on it about 120k has been for hunting and dog stuff. 120k X 3.00 for fuel......dont tell me I'll get sick lol. Hey it was alot of fun and some good laughs

it all depends what you think a dog is worth and what you can afford at the time.bet some of the best dogs out there were prob picked up for very little.
