Who misses the Waterloo cup ?why?

On each of the three days of the last Waterloo Cup, I asked for an extra card; the guy asked why ? I said I wanted one to fill in and one to keep in mint condition for framing as it would probably be the last one ever. He said no problem, I have them put away safe, but will frame them sometime.

i think it was itv,showed highlights etc .certain it was a sat afternoon they showed it.

can any one remember 2005 when hare ran through dogs were slipped dogs got up to hare and the hare leapt into crowd on hill someone caught it and threw it back on the course their was such a cheer from the lads antis going mad shouting murderers blowing their whistles they couldnt get out the coppers had them hemmed in they should of let them out what a battle it would of been in the history books but like out else they spoil everything

first time i went was 1974 i think modest newdown won , 4 of us went in a taxi from Heywood Lancaster it cost us £25 and the taxi driver stayed with us all day, although he was not dressed for it he quiet enjoyed himself, i think the year after went down on the back of a bedford tk it was fcuking freezing, i think it was canceled due to the snow, happy days

Half the trouble with the anti's was that the road at the Withens is a public highway so they had every right(by law)to be there including police protection. TBH apart from Greyhound 2000 the only time you saw anti's whilst coursing was the first day of the Waterloo Cup when the TV cameras were there if they were so passionate where were they throughout the season when there was no TV coverage?
