put knee were the door handle is

fingers at the top of the door

and pull firmly tell him not to yank it

the top of the door will start to lean out

if he's skiny tell him to put his arm in

and open the door or use a wire coat hanger

he wont smash the window as long as he does'nt yank it

when its open put his knee on the door panel

and pull the top of the door back in

good as new

tennis ball only works on merc's

 thats the way i would do it

I'd get a replacement window from a scrapyard, then pop the window. It's easy enough to replace a window & you don't want to start f*****g about with the door locks & replacement keys = £££££

if it has a pop up door lock get a length of plastic strap what they use on parcels and crates etc fold it together push between window and door jamp wd 40 helps but you should manage without leverage once through the window hold one end of strap whilst pushing forward the other it makes a loop that you shuffle over pop up pull and your in take 2mins not worth a shite if no pop up
