HAMMERDAN 25
Hi all, I'm wanting to keep a few game birds in the back garden.. Gardens fully grassed, would prefer a portable one to keep the grass healthy, was just wondering if anyone had any plans ? ATB dan
neil cooney 10,416
I had that idea once to have all my pens moveable so I could have them on fresh grass all the time. But the fox loves pens that are just sitting on top of the sod and unless they're very well made they'll become loose and ramshackle with constant picking up and carrying. For game fowl that will be kept seperate to one another you'll use a lot less timber by making a bank of fly pens. So plan carefully and build well.
Capt Boo 2
You could try to get a copy of "Making Mobile Hen Houses" by Michael Roberts in the 'Gold Cockerel Series'. Might give you a few pointers. Try Ebay or I find Amazon cheaper more often than not. Hope that helps J
