rossy08 33 Posted January 20, 2011 Report Share Posted January 20, 2011 Hi mate. Iv been using tin foil,scrunch it up and rub down the barrel and action,find a tad of oil helps. Works spot on and wont damage the ole blueing. If your re blueing anyway use some fine sand paper an take it down to the bare metal. Theres loads of blueing kits on the market.. Atb Andy. darren watson 14 Posted January 20, 2011 Report Share Posted January 20, 2011 (edited) i've heard kitchen foil is the best material to remove rust with, never tried it, but the advice came from my local gunsmith. also, newspaper is very good at cleaning your scope lenses without leaving streaks.
