I go out at pretty much the same time usually, Less people about the better when your wielding a lamp somewhere where you shouldn't be!

always same time?try just after dark to see if there is more out not saying there will be just curious lads nd because its so early they wont expect it

a couple of hours before it goes light i find it quite active

yes mate my bitch can catch on the lamp mate no worries on that score, as to the question of times to go out it varies,early evening on the golf course is the most productive as there is probably to much going on during normal day light hours and they seem to get out and feed at the first opertunity,the most productive times for most of the lamping i do is anywhere between 2300hrs and o400am,dont forget most people are either in bed at this time or certainly thinking about it and less likely to see a lamp let alone worry about what your up to but thats probably the same as most places although when certain quarry was legal first light was a gem and could often pick up the odd munty on their return to cover.

weather conditions and abundance of quarry will inevitably dictate times to get yourself out for the most productive sessions and if you cover a lot of land you will soon learn the best times to be on certain areas ,as we all know some can be a lot more productive than others,trial and error mate but all the time your walking your keeping the dogs fit no matter what,now laugh your arse off at that and charge your battery and get out there

I tend to set out 10 pm normally if i have nothing on the next day i set the alarm and get up at 3am plenty of stuff out and you can lamp without too many worries about being seen.The best advice is to get out on the land as much as you can then you will get a fair idea atb matt

its called lamping for a reason pal,its dark out there so you will need a lamp its not 100% time specific
