Smoking whilst lamping.

Got told a few day's ago from a lad i met whilst having the dogs out that you shouldn't smoke whilst out lamping, something to do with the scent, I smoke 20 a day and never had a problem with smoking whilst on the lamp, anyone else heard this ? didn't know what to make of it. ATB

i suppose smoking in the car on your way to / from lamping with windows up wouldnt be good

but thats about the only way smoking could affect them

It does make sense. Rabbits etc do have a good sense of smell. If your walking into the wind, which you should be, they wont smell it but will still see the cherry. I dont know if that would bother them or not but from a practical veiw i shouldnt think its to easy to smoke. Youve only got 2 hands. Some peeps dont keep the dog on slip i spose but if you do then its one hand on lamp and the other hand holding the dog.

its an addiction but its a filthy f*****g habit. Alot of smokers dont make any effort not to bother non smokers. I would drop a lamping partner if they insisted on smoking when lamping. I avoid friends houses who smoke and refuse to travel in a car with a smoker. It makes a difference to quarry too. Wont have it ferreting either.nearly dont bother with people who smoke it just annoys me too much these days.
