cymruguy69 5
Iv'e jus moved into my new house been ther since start of december!! Now my pup has been in the kennel since the day we moved in and didn't make a noise the neighbours have told me and the missus that she's been no trouble at all!! Iv'e been looking for a lodger and then a opportunity arised where my missus brother either had to get rid of his dog because his old ladie can't handle him or move out with the dog he's a 8 month old lurcher of deerhound/greyhound/whippetX Greyhound/Whippet/bull (long line of blood) Anyway he moved in sunday and we put the dog in the kennel with my pup obviously the dog started to bark and cry because he had to get used to his new kennel mate (my pup) and also the kennel itself. Within 10 minutes of barking a woman knocked on the door I recognized her from the house directly behind me wich is part of another estate!! I'm in the shower when she comes round so young rhys awnsers ( My missus BRO) She started by saying that we should be giving the dog attention to make it settle in (IMHO Doing this would make it even harder for the dog to understand it's living in a new kennel) She was giving rhys a real hard time I mean the boys only 16!! So I come down and ask what the problem is she says that the barking isn't bothering her it's the fact the dogs are in a kennel and it's cruel!! I moved on to inform her that it is more healthy to be in a kennel in the fresh air rather than in our un-natural fumes!! She was asking why we would have pets out there people normally have pets to cuddle up to!! I said I love my dog and am not ashamed of that but their working dogs so they can't come back from a nights lamping stinking and expect to run around a newly carperted house!! She said ok I understand now on moved on her way!! I had a phone call then off my missus mother saying that the RSPCA where their and had a report of cruelty to animals and wanted to see our kennels!!! Rhys gladly showed the ladie the kennels the dogs their food and so on!! She turned round and said this is a total waste of my time she said the person that reported you should be ashamed of them selves for wasting the time and money of the RSPCA. Now I am sure that this person reported us because all the other Neighbours when I asked them and apologised about the dogs said it was no problem and theyv'e hardly heard them and so on!! Now Iv'e heared today off a mate at the end of my street that she's a strict veggy and thinks she's against animal cruelty and anti hunt campaigner!! This has made me sick because it has caused me a huge amount of embarasment when a RSPCA van pulls up on your drive and wants to see your kennels on a report of cruelty!! I mean word spreads like wild fire!! also when I see her husband walking their fat and unhealthy spaniel round the block so it can have a sh*t then back in the house now if that isn't animal cruelty I don't know what is!! Has anybody else heared of anything or encountered anything like this?? Happy Hunting Quote Link to post
Stabs 3
I had it years ago except the RSPCA used the excuse that were my dogs were barking in order to get a look at them. Now my dogs are mute so I knew that was a lie. The way it stands now mate is that you have a neighbour that is an anti. Depending on the extent of her views, you could have bother...you might not, but bear it in mind. The RSCPA won't bother you anymore though hopefully so that's a good thing. Quote Link to post

collie/grey 238
When we used to live in our previous home town, everyone was bloody antis. We had 2 lurchers that lived mainly outdoors and the neighbours complained saying they were 'skinny' and neglected! RSPCA came round every bleedin day for a week! Showed them the dogs, the kennels, their food etc, no problem, they were getting on our nerves. In the end we requested that when the rspca came round again bring a police officer, they did. Showed them the dogs and 1 jumped up at the inspecter, covered him in mud from the garden and the copper was pissing himself laughing and said to us 'you won't get bothered by these again! Since then we have moved into our little village, not as bad but wherever you go, theres going to be c**ts like them. Just watch what you do and say. Quote Link to post

tote 854
Similair story,my dad was looking after my lurcher for a couple of weeks, one day he had a knock on the door,he opened it to see a SSPCA [sCOTLAND] inspector who told him he'd recieved a complaint from a member of the public that the dog was out in all weather,it was basically being neglected. Well my dad who can be a right wild fecker when he gets riled asked the SSPCA man who put the complaint in.Why do you want to know?asked the inspector, because I'll go round to his house and knock his feckin head off replied dad. Can't tell you 'cos it was an annonymous tip off.Well when the inspector saw the dog and the kennel he just said another feckin time waster, there's nowt wrong with the dog or the kennel. He'd travelled from Edinburgh to Dumfries,140 miles round trip for feck all,he apologised to my dad and told him this is a regular occurance. The prick that grassed made the mistake of blabbing in the pub, needless to say he now realises the error of his ways Quote Link to post

The fact of the matter is that I wanted them to come in so she could write a report and then post it to me I can then shove it in the face of these f*****g antis!!! Quote Link to post
stevesel 18
Had a similar thing a few months ago when a new neighbour complained to dog warden that i had working terriers and was badger digging,i let the dog warden have a look and all was well as far as she was concerned,a week later the environmental health officer arrived after a complaint about a smell from my kennels,he had a good sniff and he was happy. Two weeks later the rspca arrived after a complaint that my lurcher was limping and had not been to a vet, i showed them around and the lurchers dew claw that she had managed to pull the nail from in the yard. I asked the rspca who complained and they said they couldnt tell me but went straight to the new neighbours house(they dont keep any animals) Hes moved  .thank christ,i had more people through my gate than the local zoo. Has anybody else heared of anything or encountered anything like this?? Happy Hunting Yes I had something similar ,before the ban I used to give my dogs a bit of bike ,allways followed the same route round a few streets and back each lap exactly a mile,my dogs looked forward to it.One day while biking I passed a woman with a fat retired greyhound ,ad I went by she said ,"you should stop that ",I immediately got off the bike and asked her politely what the problem was ," I expect you go coursing2,she said "yes I do ",I replied ."what you are doing is cruel and coursing is evil,I bet your dogs sleep outside too," "yes they do I replied,in a brick shed on shredded paper, and by thre way your greyhound is very overweight",then she started cursing me calling me an evil git ,and saying when my dog was injured I would leave it on a rubbish tip with a bullet in its head ,I told her she was an ignorant bigot and knew nothing about dogs,"your greyhounds too thin hes half starved she replied,""hes not a greyhound ,hes a Saluki cross I replied ,and if you cant tell the difference you should keep your ignorant mouth shut",then I rode off next day a visit from the RSPCA,an anonymous tip off ,I had a halfstarved Greyhound,I was on the verge of telling the Inspector,a young woman to go away ,whren I had second thoughts and invited her in ,I showed her all my dogs ,I had 3 at the time and showed her their diet ,[beta Greyhound meal and beef mince ],she put her hands over the "half starved greyhound ",and said she had never seen such a fit dog,I told her to go back to the silly old bitch who had made the complaint and tell her that, and to get a couple of pics of a lurcher so she would know thedifference next time,I never heard another word about it ,now if Im walking my dogs and that woman sees me ahe makes out she hasnt seen me ,and I make a point of laughing as I go past.
