Snelly 0
Hi, My FAC Application is in and is looking good according to the firearms officer. I know what rifle I am going to go for - it is a custom made Ruger 10/22 from South Yorshire Shooting (see below) - but am a little uncertain on what I need for a scope to go with it. My budget is under £150 and my shooting is nearly always rabbits, lamped at night and typically from a vehicle up to a range of 120 yards max. Any suggestions on good scopes to go for? In addition, are there any specific things to bear in mind when buying a scope for a rimfire rather than an air rifle? Thanks, Snelly Quote Link to post
Yokel Matt 918
I got my 10/22 from SYS and the team were quality :thumbs-up: . Ask Roger about the simmons whitehall scopes... that's what he said the were very popular on that set up. Optimax (i had a Opti 16 @ £135 4-16-56) and AGS are also good for the money. You can get away with a airgun scope on a rimfire as there is next to no recoil although if you are spending £600 quid on that set up it would be a shame to stick a load of crap on top of it... maybe they have a quality second hand scope from a trade in?... Check this site for ideas... http://www.djc99.plus.com/optics.htm Quote Link to post
Guest Macnas
Maybe a BSA catseye, 3.5x10, 44 or 50 obj. lens. They are pretty reasonable cost wise and will work well on a .22lr. Quote Link to post
