AnthroHunter 0
Hiya! Was just wondering how important coat colour is, is it more for looks or do certain colours work better in the field? Quote Link to post
lemoncakes 0
its just personel choice. the colour of the dog makes no difference to how it works, i like lemon roan cockers. been trying to breed them but keep getting blacks ha ha. still very pretty tho and have kept one back. hily 380
its said by some don't get a dog thats mostly white because if it runs inn on the beating line or chases it can be easily seen by the keeper NO i don't think colour makes any difference at all. Quote Link to post

rotherham united 0
the only thing i will say is, iv have 3 red cockers and when out beating and shooting (such as beaters day), you have to be careful for others thinking they are foxes and wanting to take a pop at them :/ Quote Link to post
lemoncakes 0
yeah i know what you mean actually. even my lemon cocker looks a bit foxy in low light Quote Link to post
mushroom 13,193
What the fec does it matter so long as it can do the graft and not get mistaken by a half cocked shooter for monsieur reynard  Quote Link to post
Lab 10,979
yeah i know what you mean actually. even my lemon cocker looks a bit foxy in low light I know someone who had a cocker that foxy colour and it was called "Socks"......imagine shouting that in the beating line...
