zini 1,939
Yep no problems Davy pal, anything that makes it better is always welcomed pal The actual real footage that hasnt been down graded to go onto Youtube is 100% better buddy and clearer. Today all the dark bunnies and footage especially the one where i squeeked the bunny but was very dark was removed from the DVD, as last night i decided to try the IR lamp and filter on full power instead of half power and it worked brilliantly (didnt scare the bunnies at all) and i got quite alot of clear footage that i have now added . 2200 hrs is still fine mate hopefully bugs will be out in force . Phantom 631
I just love watching the Master at work. Awsome shooting Si, as always Was fantastic to hear from you again buddy, thanks for the call. As I mentioned on the phone, I'm hoping (if all goes well) to be out practicing with the scope cam next week in the cemetery and the surrounding area. And thanks for the heads up regarding tomorrow Right, off to catch up with the rest of the board and then I've got 350+ UBC records to trawl through gathering IP addies Take care and enjoy the night with Mr T pass on my regards. venomviper 129
Hi lads, Here is some of the scope camera shooting (not all) that I have been doing over the past few days put together for you in this little clip. I hope that the newer shooters that have been asking about lamping, the use of NV equipment and bunny shooting find this interesting as well as the experienced regulars a like. You will see bunnies being shot at various ranges and in some cases my rifle mounted laser used as a range finder before a particular shot. Each shot has its own point of aim (POA) on the mildots in regards to the bunny’s brain and range, as that’s how I shoot and find it to be the most accurate way to humanely kill my quarry. If you use this technique and learn it well instead of always using a cross hair as an aiming device / point you will greatly improve your success rate when hunting plus make taking longer range shots much easier. You will see some hold under and some very slight hold over as the .177 pellet doesn’t have much of a parabolic trajectory to the ranges that I was shooting due to my point blank range (PBR) being pretty big in this calibre hence making it ideal for night time rabbit shooting and HFT comps alike. With a lighter pellet my PBR would be even bigger making it even better for long range shots without much hold over. Most of the shots though are taken on x 4 magnification due to it being the best light gathering quality magnification through the scope camera. Normally without a scope camera fitted I shoot at night on x 6 mag. Where applicable the cross hair is used on the rabbit’s brain as a POA with no hold over or under as I was doing a lot of static hunting at a desired range of 30 metres which is my .177 zero range. I think that this is a good demo of scope camera shooting and the use of a laser for newer shooters to our section. This footage is only uploaded to YouTube on IPOD quality at 65.1 MB so isn’t brilliant, but the proper footage that will be going on the DVD is 739 MB so in HD quality near on. Please feel free to leave your comments, either positive or negative. Enjoy Si. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nZwSOlzTvR8 hi ya si buddy well what can i say great footage and shooting matey and i cant wait for the dvd to come out i showed brenden it to and he said he wants it first lol nooooo chance lol great seing you last night to pal it was very nice matey i hope you get to shoot some bunny's last night with davy pal cant wait to see the footage from that to matey shay Quote Link to post
