Vets prices

They should do it cheap in my opinion atleast we are being responsible alot of muppets still think you have to let a jill have kits every year ,

thats so true........some animal charities do castrations and neutering cheap to avoid unwanted pups and kittens......shame they dont think the same for ferrets.....perhaps write to teh pdsa and ask

edited to add and point out the welfare of the jills and that vasectomy is a more minor op than neutering a jill

I got two pence back from sixty quid but hes also got ten jills to bring out ,and if they come into season three or four times like last year times his lifespan it will work out as pennies

I don't want to seem like a muppet - but i was also under the impresion that when a Jill comes into season it is not good practice to just leave her.

Last year (her first year) i put our Hob in with her and ended upwith the expected litter wich is not an issue at all. I thought i was doing the right thing.

Can someone please clear up this point.

If the jill is not going to be bread does she need to be neutred?

Thanks

Chris

AS LONG AS THE JILL GETS CROSSED WITH A HOB THATS FINE DOSENT MATTER IF HE HAS HIS BITS OR NOT SHE WILL COME OUT OF SEASON THEN THE JILL CAN DIE IF SHE AINT BEEN CROSSED OR THE VETS CAN GIVE THEM A JAB BUT THAT COST MONEY ALL THE TIME SOMETIMES FOUR TIMES A YEAR THATS WHY SOMEPEOPLE GET THERE HOBS NEUTRED THAT WAY THEY WILL COME OUT OF SEASON AND THEY DONT HAVE LOADS OF KITS RUNNING ABOUT AND THE TROBLE FINDING HOMES FOR THEM

sure i got quoted 40quid last summer. will be getting hob done this summer when his balls drop. rake aboot is your hob ready now? loaned a hob last year for week sure gave bloke 10 quid which was happy with to serve 4 jills. so if you get yours done always stud him for few quid in summer which will take edge off massive vet bill and keep him smiling. :D
