fireman 11,012 Posted January 22, 2011 Report Share Posted January 22, 2011 Yes mate new age traveller,hippy, peace convoy call it what you will and yes i myself wasn't born into it but to be honest mate we travelled a lot more than most of the "real travelling" folk i've ever met,but the point i was trying to get across is (now going to sound like a hippy here)were all part of the same thing,we all live next to each other,we all need other humans in our lives and what others think of you like it or not it affects your very life.So to not bother trying to change what others think of you as a group or as a single person is where the downfall of the gypsy lifestyle imo,gyspies want indipendance and recognision as being a seperate race fare do'es but your all still part of society and imo as a race ("race",just descriptive word no mallice intended )you should be doing more to show others you ain't all that bad. Inclued yourselves in local projects,clean up behind yourselves,be more open about yourselves as you've some grand history and culture behind you all,share this with others as we all love a camp fire story and you as a race might just be surprised mate. I just love the frocks :laugh: dred to think how much an average wedding costs .. more than i earn a year i know,can you imagine how many oaps have been conned out of their hard earned cash just to pay for the thieving feckers weddings not to mention robbing anything thats worth owt and all the money they save by fly tipping and not paying tax and then they glorify the thieving kunts by making a programme about em ..er no i didnt watch it yep i used to drive a tipper wagon. was on the tip once,when the gypos turned up in thier wagon, the guy in the weighbridge charged the gypo £20 to tip a full load of muck. anyone else its nearly £100 with vat. i asked the guy and he said, if we charge them anymore, they wait til we shut the gates at night and just fly tip it in the road outside, and we end up having to move it anyway Quote Link to post Share on other sites
Guest INTERNET-HUNTER Posted January 22, 2011 Report Share Posted January 22, 2011 i know alot of gypsys and most are good lads but they are also masters of mind games. i met this one in the link below at a church yard when i was taking a few trees down. he was on day release from the local open jail and was working at the church tidying up round the place in general. i got talking to him and he asked me if he could help out as he did tree work himself when not in jail so i asked the vicar and she said ok. over the next few days he worked for us and he came across as a top bloke who you could trust 100%. i was even thinking of giving him some work when he got out as he said he was skint and had nothing to go out to when his sentence ended and i felt sorry for him. one day i googled his name and low and behold everything he had told me was total crap and he had conned an old woman out of her life savings on work that wasnt needed :thumbdown: i was disappointed more than anything that i fell for it but to be fair when i asked him about it he admitted everything and did seem genuinely sorry for what he did. id never not do business with gypsys though, they sure can earn money its just like any walk of life good and bad everywhere. http://www.thisisnottingham.co.uk/news/Scamming-father-daughter-denied-related/article-1328702-detail/article.html the thing that really makes me laugh is that if it wasnt for travelling culture from 100s of years ago we would maybe never have so many of the things we use in the field everyday of night, but ill leave you all to think of that never a lender or borrower be Quote Link to post Share on other sites
