Had to be for most of the ground she was running but she grew up in Northern Ireland and knew no different. She could stay on too, at least she stayed as well as she needed to but never had the chance to test her where it counts (for stamina) No Miles my buddy that takes me ferreting on his permission over there is away for a while. harrylongears 19
putting bull blood into a coursing dog wont add anything it takes away the speed and stamina All depends on the ground your working big open fens there no need for bull put in a coursing dog but if your hunting small fields with gates fences hedges ditches rivers etc etc you need a bit maddest put in there to get thought or over this things. A touch not much just touch bull or wheaten well take away the nerves off the saulk. Some thing like 1/2 saulk 1/4 bull or wheaten 1/4 grey can make handy coursing dog What a crock of poo,,, salukis are probably the best jumpers around if trained to do so,,, and thats what the problem is,, too many lads just slap them on a hare on big opens,,, bring them on like a lurcher and be shocked,,,,, bull x are the shittest jumpers ever,, too much time in the air,, its terrier blood for fecks sake,, you need speed grace stamina and agility,, seen saluki xs that make lurchers look stupid on small feilds and J.Ls dogs on the opens. Saluki x lurchers (not the bull type),, that throw the saluki side, are the best type imo if brought on to go through cover and jump on the run they will excell at feild and fen. ive seen hundreds of salukis running the fens as i live in the heartbof the fens so we do a lot in norfolk aswell theres is no 2 ways about it salukis carnt do what a lurcher can do that my freind is bollocks they are what they are daytime hare dogs and i dout u will find 1 that can be on the same level as a alround lurcher that aside they the best at what they do Quote Link to post
Good Man 196
that litter was all rubbish all they do is kill hares did that khan ebery breed to bitch in belfast 2 pups for sale saying that he is the sire both 14 months I know the litter these two came from. If you search back through the posts you'll see a pic of a saluki dog called Buster which was bred by John Lennon out of a daughter of his famous old bitch, Star and Khan Jihad. This was about 5 years ago and long before his present, or previous owner had Khan. My pal Collie and I each brought a pup home with us to Northern Ireland from one of our stays with John. In the summer of 2009 I arranged a mating between Buster and the Willow bitch that I had retired on breeding terms to another pal, Tom. I picked Patch from the litter and had her jabbed against parvo right away. About a week later the rest of the litter that was left with the bitch came down with parvo. Although these two the dealer is trying to sell survived they were dragged right down and took a long time to get back to where you could say they were thriving. Due to a domestic situation these two fell into the possession of Andy, who rang me for info on the breeding a while back. He obviously wasn't taking notes. They're bred off a son of Khan, not Khan himself. I have to thank Optimus for getting me back online after my old pc resisted all attempts at a fix, although I had to re-register under a slightly different name. Anyone who has pm'd me under bolio will be able to do so under BOLIO1 their is a bitch for sale from this breeding i think below in done deal. http://www.donedeal.ie/for-sale/dogs/1945405 Quote Link to post

BOLIO1 1,078
Well they weren't bred for Ireland, but for the fens. Colly told me she ran a hare 3 fields and killed it at 11 months old. Then she was lost for a week when a load of cattle charged her. Thats all I know about her. Quote Link to post
