otter 61
me and my mate bought a couple ov dogs off hancock and both were rubbish my mate bought a 3/4 collie greyhound and i got a beardie cross out of some dog called [enoch] mine turned out 26 inches with a head like mike tyson but no heart at all he looked the part but i trained him for foxes [pre ban] he would do them twos up but cocked on them on his own so he went the journey to some lad as a ferreting dog and was shit at that as well!my mates dog grew to 25 inches and had terrible feet by the time it was 18 months and sadly got put to sleep through toes breaking all the time. i have to agree with a few replies tho and say i would advise people to stay clear ov mr hancock and his puppy farm .I ended up breeding my own ist crosses and every one of them were decent dogs Had it put to sleep for breaking its toes, what a nob head. what else was he to do with the dog , maybe advertise it on the internet as a top class worker and sell it for ££££ .... i think the correct course of action was taken in putting the dog to sleep 1 Quote Link to post

Guest paceandstamina
a good dog is a dog that the owner is happy with, imo "good dog" and "hancock" should not be in the same sentence. just wondering if anyone is working any good hancock dogs, pics appreciated Quote Link to post

Pet home! There are 1000's of lurchers in pet homes... The dog was a working animal... It wouldnt be fair on the dog to sit it in some kennel... why would a pet dog sit in a kennel? lots of people have ex working dogs that are stimulated enough to be happy. im trying to not be offensive to you rfyl but you sometimes come across like you think your oppinion is right and thats the end of. saying it how it is, and most dog men would say the same, and have scant reguard for lurchers in pounds... you said pet home.. thought you was refaring to the pound. And dont jump on the band wagon love. saying the same as a few chavs... After all, you gave a piece of advice out the other day, which was ludicurus, so we all make mistakes, dont we... It isnt that easy to find a home for a crippled dog either.. Why would you want to be offensive and why is that statement or opinion in your eyes, as if i am right. You gave an answer and so did i.. ??? 1 Quote Link to post

As for the dog with broken toes, and messed up feet. I would have to confess that i wouldnt like to see a dog limping around all its life, when in fact it should be at full flight and enjoying life in top gear..I probarbly would have done the same thing as you mate. There are of course the people who would frown up on it. And these have to be taken in to account but i would fear that the majority of men with knowledge on running dogs, would go down the same root, unless they had a family member that would retire it in front of the fire. Jesus... explain. And i am not going to say anything about the advice, i'm not here to show people up, and belittle them as evryone has an opinion, and that was yours... I can not see for one minute how you could turn that into an argument.. Kennels are full of them. and yes it was a working dog.. so i know it all, lol. I do have many years of experience with dogs. However, i still have asked advise to day on my ratting contract. I talk about what i know, and only that. ok. Quote Link to post

If that offends you, then i apoligize again... Maybe forums should have people talking about stuff they know nothing about. Anyway, happy hunting. May i ask, how old you are? Quote Link to post
runforyourlife 361
Anyway, back to the subject of the topic.. Hancock has been around for many a year, and surely a few out of each litter would make the grade, or at least make their owners happy.. Quote Link to post
