paulk73 151
at the moment i have a webley axsor, and am thinking of upgrading, as im not altogether happy with the performance of this rifle. in the past iv had a hw 100, a daystate and a bsa ultra. all of which i have prefered to the axsor. the best being the hw. 100carbine. the question is what to go fornext. i want something with good accuracy and a good shot count per refill, if im honest the hw was probably a touch heavy for me, is this something i could get over with more practice/use. or would i be better suited with something a bit lighter. i found the hw very accurate when taking supported or rested shots, but even at close range standing unaided shots where unpredicatable. this was down to me not the rifle. p.s will be looking for a used rifle. any tips or advice, would also like somthing that shot consistantly through out the whole charge ie - same trajectary with each pellet. thanks in advance. rabbit.slayer.no.1 3
well mate all i can really say is that you cant go far wrong with a nice second hand AA s200 10 shot converted. ive just sold one and you can hit a bottle top every time at 35yrd. nice and light and still packs a punch. darren watson 14
have a look at the falcon range. they have rifles in most price brackets, mine performs really well and will out-shoot me at my current level of shooting, its a delight to hold, the stock options are very nice and practical and not every tom dick or harry has one. (this doesn't mean they're crap, by the way) Quote Link to post

Rake aboot 4,936
HI I would say a Daystate but you want somit light so go far a Falcon. Top bits of kit very well made and superb performance ATB Quote Link to post
Marksman 934
I dare to say you wouldn't go far wrong with a BSA R10. Average of 170-190 shots per fill and as accurate as they come. I had an Axsor had nothing but problems with it so took it back and swapped it for the S10 Depends on your budget I suppose but I'd definitely recommend the R10 Darryl Quote Link to post

bunnybrown 2
I to would of said r10 i love this gun brought one last sept. First two weeks all fine BUT then kept losing air. Its just come back for the third time I've lost all faith in this gun now, real shame as it could be a top contender for an all round rifle.Have to say how great BSA have been in dealing with my gun i just hope that they have resolved the on going problem and then i would recommend this gun to anyone.Had an air arms s410 in 177 before r10, i was mad selling it for an r10 thought i was doing the right thing. It was a great all round gun would easily knock rabbits over at 50 yards will get another one if r10 stills plays up.A couple of lads at my local gun club have the AA s200 and swear buy them.At the end of the day it seems to be if your lucky enough to get a good rifle as so many people don't have any trouble a tall wither it being a bsa/ air arms (etc) Quote Link to post
