PHILIP KING IN CO CAVAN, IRELAND HAD A WORKING WHEATEN DOG CALLED RAMBO BACK IN THE `S Seen him, a big type and he must have been a good one or he wouldn't have been there. fat man 4,741 Posted January 19, 2011 Report Share Posted January 19, 2011 Dont know what ever became of the dog id say he was sold on p king sold a lot of dogs that time lurchers and terriers its the only yard i was ever in that would have maybe 40 terriers running loose at the same time i bought a fell pup from him the pup was with the dam i asked bout the sire and he pointed to a black dog there could have been 10 or 12 dogs losse but the pup came gud Quote Link to post

Sorry cant be off more help p king was a funny man but when a friend of his got done for diggin phil got out of terriers then and just kept the lurchers he bred a lot of gud hare dogs i was told and some top fox dogs as well a lot of wheaton lurchers in eire wud have had rambo in there blood i wudnt off had him round me the dog was a liability yis Quote Link to post

He was sayin that he has kept the same line of wheatenXrussels for the last 35 years,i asked,can i take a look at them?Yea! He opened the back door and gave a shout and about 20 terriers came out of nowhere all running loose about the farm.They all were about 12tts but pure muscle under the wooly coat! He went to a shed and said look at this lovely russel i bought from whales,HES SHIT!he says. I was glad i called in,not that he heard much of what i was asking lol. Quote Link to post
