bird 10,014
top bloke shows pitbulls etc in their true light. spot on regards pit bulls as a breed. Ive had lots of differnt lutcherxs, and my bullx pup Tod seems clever to me. He picks things up dead quick, alot of bull breeds are clever dogs with good temps, you just got put the time in with them. both have been easy to train
littlefish 588
I think he is good and knows how to understand how dogs function. I saw his stage show when he toured UK last year.He is a very engaging performer. We have to remember his tv show aims to educate and entertain, all in 30 minutes airtime. Malt 379
From what I've seen he just seems like someone who knows how to handle a dog properly.

liam mc 18
oK A LOT OF PEOPLE RATE HIM ,i dont think hes stupid or anything as one lad said to keep that many bullbreeds together you have to know your stuff but i lost faith with him when Iseen agitator choke on pitt and people know you can damage bullbreeds with these , Ive trained dogs for years now and havent used a choke chain in a long time , body language and believe me or not a growl in my voice has been sufficent, im not claiming to be a know all as Im always learning but dont believe in taking dogs spirit Itry to advise owners if breed dont suit them rather than change dog to that degree
Casso 1,261
he seems to have somewhat of a grasp of the energy in dogs, but its not realistic the ask some folk to walk their dogs up to 5 miles aday, just to use up the mutt's energy also seems to have very little grasp of drive in dogs and how that effects their nature,,problem dogs are just subdued on camera the prob will certainly arise when he gone I would be interested to know how many dogs in his compound are not castrated,, Edited January 17, 2011 by Casso

rikjd 8
a lot of people in the US have said the problems came back later and were worse because of the domineering effect he uses, theres a difference between showing leadership and backign a dog into a corner, something he has got wrong in the past, i saw a clip recently of him trying to train two pitbulls which had been know to fight he had them off lead in a group and it kicked off He puts on a good show and if it encourages people to get out with their dogs and spend time training them then thats good but to put the faith in his techniques the way some people do is a bit naive IMO
leegreen 2,223
Dog whisperer, top bloke. He maybe a bit of a cock but who isn't. He knows his stuff and has made a mint, as said done loads for Pit breeds. I would let him look after my dogs any day and that is the best I can say about a dog man. All said feck cleaning up after he's lot.

I think where a lot of people go wrong is they don't train their dogs. They buy a pup and when things arn't as easy or the dog matures, they maybe have a few sessions with a trainer, or even watch a Cesar video and get inspired BUT.....they don't keep up with the training and socialisation. To me, every dog needs constant training, physical and mental, every day of life really or their behaviour can go backwards so quickly. I really think most dogs thrive with a challenge/stimulation.

liam mc 18
Pitts as a breed arent the problem we are as most of the pitts in europe where from pure fighting extreme drive lines, where in the states you have lines used for ring work weight pull etc show lines or cur lines as your fighting man will call them, when idiots started to get dogs from pitt lines thats what started all the bad publicity as they hadnt a clue how to handle or channel the drive so dont blame the pitt its goes back to breeders selling and breeding to many to make a profit
