Waz 4,262
Just had a look at a motor im interested in, price is ok. Tried all the gearbox out, all seems ok. Heard about the bad turning circle, but just posting this to try and find out any points to look at specifically. The only bad thing I could find is that the load liner although nicely built is fitted, I think this has always had the pick-up cover on but worried about what is under the fixed load liner. The rest of the car is A1 mint. Guy reckons the cam belts need doing every 60k, and he got it done when he bought it 3 year ago, he's only done 30k since. He also reckons it will take a ton in the back. Had a look underneath, leaf springs, some scabs but nothing significant id say. What you fellas reckon?
Waz 4,262
Another question to those that know there way round these type of motors.... Are the parts outrageously priced in comparison to other pick-ups? Thanks in advance.
olim 28
Are you going to be using it mainly on road or off? I know a ranger who had one for 60k then it died but it was only used off road and it got battered, he went to a defender.
