Reticle question....??

Recommended Posts

I've had a Luger 3-9x42 scope on my 52 for the past couple of years and I'm just wondering what the ret's called?

I'm happy with the scope but after reading through some recent threads, I'm just wondering :hmm: It's not important and I've no complaints, just curious.

The best way I can describe it is it's very much like a normal 30-30 but the 12 o'clock post is the same thin line all the way up.....

Cheers.

Hi Andy.

Sounds a bit like a variation on a German "Post and Four" or a German 4A reticle. Optics maker Hensoldt Detzlar (Now Ziess) developed it for Wehrmacht and Waffen SS Jaegers (snipers) during WW2.

One of my favourites!

Tony, I have a some power putty I can post to you mate, its the orange stuff that us climbers use to restrengthen our fingers after snapping the pulleys in our fingers

When you gently squeeze it the resistance is gentle, but as your fingers repair and get stronger the same lump of power putty gets firmer and firmer and if you try to squeeze the stuff with a fast gripp ots like grabbing a brick!

Let me know and Ill post it on mate.

Thanks Gents,

I've taken off the straping now and am beginning to get my trigger finger working again, hurts like hell but its moving again, the swelling around the rest of the hand is going down slowly and my knuckles are almost visible again, well there is some shape appearing at the top and I can get the ring and little finger to touch the base of my thumb now :)

The wrist however, well look at it this way there won't be no swift ones flying off there for a while (remember the conversation during the voyage over the channel lol)

Mark, thanks a lot, I'll see how it goes first

Andy, more than you will know
