I would say youre ok to kill a fox every chance you get.

Only ever bolted one in about 40 yrs rabbiting.

I too bolted a fox with a big polecat hob, but the fox chomped it before bolting, when i dug to it it was dead.

I bolted one with a jill as well it cut her head and gave her a inch and a half gash on her side .next one came out of a big burrow we had 4 jills in and it just walked between my and my son like it had all the time in the world
