Alex Arrigone 24
ok before i start.. i do know how stupid this question is and it probably has a really simple answer too, but its been at the back of my mind since my last shoot. so here it goes... theres a rabbit hole on the permission which is popular with the rabbits. and i have a perfect hide position. however, and here's the stupid question... when i shoot a rabbit around its hole, and leave it to pick up later (to avoid compromising my position). will the other rabbits coming out of holes in the area of the dead rabbit notice it? in simple terms.. will the other bunnies see or smell the dead rabbit and not come out to play? i'm slightly embarassed to have even posted this due to how rediculous it sounds but an answer would be great cheers Quote Link to post
Phantom 631
Yep, but they wont give a damn Dropped many bunnies and others just either, sniff it and move on, or they just hop over it Phantom Quote Link to post
Buster321c 1,010
They wont take any notice of a dead relative .. Quote Link to post
fry 209
let em get further from the hole before you pop em. and a dead rabbit is a lot less off putting than your footsteps i would say. Quote Link to post

StevoSmith 147
I would do as fry said......let the bunny get a good 10 feet from warren.......even though other bunnys dont really care as death for them is part of every day life.....the distance just stops injured bunnys running back to warren and dying inside and causeing disease. hehehehe bunny humping a dead one LMAO Quote Link to post
matt_hooks 188
Once they're dead the other bunnies don't care. The main thing that scares them off is the almighty "THHHHHWACKKKKKK" when 16 grains of lead painkiller meet brain at 800fps! Nowt you can do about that though. Quote Link to post
Phantom 631
Anyone remember Si's video when he set up the dead bird as a decoy? Then the other one came down and tried to shag it? :11: So Si gave it a 16grain Labido killer Phantom Quote Link to post
