no dont know everything but i know how to do good by a dog, bring them on slowly and they will still be running at 10yrs old .... as someone else as said your dog do what you want ... just my opinion

slipped my 9 month old saluki greyhound in with older dog last night and had cracking run but didnt catch gave her a run on bunny first she ever ran hour later and ran it real tight no overshooting and straight back to hand .she spent the rest of the night...frustrated on the lead watching the other dogs run.when their pups give them all the advantages you can to have a catch .make them think their all catchable they have plenty of time when their older and wiser to find out that its not that easy .always found this is the best way to get a good dog .

dont talk bollox ... no matter how well bred the dog is it still shouldnt be put being a hare at 8 month , and imo you shouldnt have bred this dog as you clearly know feck all about working a dog proper

imo a hare on a lamp is often easier caught than a rabbit, dont think they should be lamped

caught easier than a rabbit, think that is total shit mate, what hares do you run ,walls and fences maybe?

in fairness i havent seen many run and that was years ago, maybe the few i saw gave me the wrong impression. dont mind being told im wrong. lots of folk with more experience lampig hares than me. dont get the walls and fences thing but never mind. cheers for educating me in such a eloquent way!

going on the hares ive seen run in the lamp are far from easy ,not like a daytime but still harder than a rabbit with a lot more wind,im on about winter hares not summer cheers

localy on the big winter wheat feilds pups would get a towing best hares for pups is stubble hares september ,were i run big land well educated game at times no place for pups unles slipped in as the chase goes on ,most dogs ive had caut hares 12 to 14 months , some bitches if there bred to be 10 11 months when corns cut good to get easy chases then tally ho, to early can lead to bone problems later, early retirment, i take mines lamping with old dog at 6 or 7 months then just work them up to it works for me by the time they are 12 months they are getting the feel for it and no the score

ffs 6 months old on a hare --- you f*****g muppet, his bones muscles , tendons, still growing , give the dog a chance to mature , before you ruin him , it'll no see a 3rd season the way your going -- but good luck
