what can i feed my pup

Recommended Posts

dont give in to treat food!

have you tried soaking the biscuits in something simple like warm water?

or even a weak bisto gravey mix?

if you start mixing something really nice with the food he will pick at it and only eat whats nice. try a couple of different dry food but dont feed him something your not prepared to feed all the time.

nearly all my dogs came to me alittle fussy but they all love there grub so much now it was worth being abit stubbon with them.

i even went as far as if they pic out all the raw meat one day and leave some of the dry food i would just give them what they left the next day till they ate it then feed them as normal again.

i know its a pup and they need there grub to grow correctly but a couple of days being stubbon isnt going to hurt.

Be careful not to over feed him when he starts, as He will just blow it out his back end. Tinned food isnt they ay to go mate. Usualy its to rich and all You will do is walk around the garden with a pooh scoop, as can be the case with a dry food only diet. It doesnt cost the earth to feed a good diet. When I bought My pup home He was on a dry food only diet. so over the course of a week or so I got him on raw meat.I now feed him on raw beef, tripe or chicken. Fresh veg. The wife just does a little extra when cooking our evening meal. Mixed with a small amount of dry food that has been soaked. The best way to get wieght on a puppy is several small meals a day rather than a couple of blow out gut busters. Meat can be bought online and delivered to Your door, a good pet shop or even the big chain`s like pets@home. Put the right stuff in now and You will reap it ten fold when he has grown and developed into a strong and healthy adult out doing his job.

Good luck

Thorny
