davyt63 1,845
Hi every one As my finger is getting a tad better, won’t actually know how well it’s healing, Till Monday, after physio. So I decided to go out to the dairy farm and take out some vermin. Andy AKA (Andy&archie) came along too, I got there about 6:45pm and Andy was waiting patiently I must say!! Lol Chaz was up the night before and went to Ratsville the dry store as the weather was too bad to shoot in, so he stayed in the dry, in the massive dry grain store. I think he had about 12 confirmed so well done chaz. So Andy and I had a walk around the dairy farm, we both had are night vision scopes on. I had my AAS410K .22 and Andy had his AAS410K super lite .22 It started abit slow with Andy starting the tally of with a great shot 30yds Nice shot! Andy We had a look around most of the hot spots! And to be fair they weren’t playing ball last night! All the hot spots provided very little activity and presented very few shots! So are conclusion was that between chaz & i and are crew we take there we have done a very good job!! But we were out and just enjoyed the time out, and had a walk around. As we walked adjacent, to the front of the main cattle barn. just in the shadows on the floor about a foot from the big steel gates. We had a look there and there were 4 little critters just in the shadows, so safety of cross hairs on target THWACK! THWACK!! THWACK!!! Before Andy, could even shoulder his AAS410K lol. Then Andy spotted another on the other side of the opening and took it straight out! Then we had a walk around the back where most of the deserted machinery is. And just scanned the ground and the equipment, I had spotted one on some tractor forks and let Andy know where it was, as we waited patiently for it to pop its head out and see if it would like a bite of a 16gr AA field, sure enough it was hungry, and Andy delivered its treat!! Lol Then around to the far rear of the property and to have a look by the cattle feed, which I must say has gone down a lot, since we was here last. They narff go through some feed! (The cattle that is lol) As we looked through are scopes Andy spotted one and took it straight out again! I was looking in the other 2 bays, but there was nothing!! And on we went to the massive shit heap at the rear of the cattle barn, I see one or two but they moved to fast! As I had to go past a light up area to get within range and they must have seen movement and done a runner. As I went to the far side of the barn and rested on a gate I could here Andy having a few shots, as he passed the shit heap. Then we walked back up to where we started, up by the calf pens and to the front of the property. I picked one of at about 35yds from the gate so I was chuffed, then I lent on my van facing down to the gate and calf pens, and Andy went around to the tractor store. I had another whilst lent on my van; I ranged it at about 30/35yds a nice shot. And here are some more we had Gallery of where they Fell!! bloodsville By this time I had forgotten how many we had, and I changed calibres to .177 and decided to do some scopecam shooting, I got it all set up and ready to go. Got in position turned it on and noticed my cam was playing up, and I think its fooked so no more scopecam shooting till it’s fixed!! So that went away, and I had one more look around while my apprentice picked up the shot quarry, for the group photo lol Here they are My apprentice Jedi!! Master Yodo The Enemy!! Happy hunting Regards Davy 2 Quote Link to post
