Whippet help needed

Recommended Posts

Hi guys, I am from the carmarthen Area and bought a 9 month old whippet a few months ago. He's now 13 months old and and I am looking for someone who could spare me some time to help teach me to go lamping as I am new to it and don't really know what I should be doing. Any help would be appreciated. Also have I left it a bit too late to teach him to lamp or is his age ok? Many thanks

He's never been ferreting and never seen a live rabbit to be honest. Only seen dead rabbits that my springer finds in the woods. He has a play with them and that's about it. He has seen a couple of cats near where we live and given them a chase but they have got away luckily for them.

When it's just me and him his recall is not too bad, not brilliant but 80%. so I know there's more work to do but if he sees another dog then its out the window, he's gone! And I don't know how to stop this. I take him to a big beach not far from me as there are lots of bunnies there I'm told and it gives him a chance to open his legs and work on his lungs and when he sees another dog here well let's just say it's a long walk for me to go and get him cos he ain't coming back
