RicW 67
Roe 1. Hunter 0. Sorry! Don't try to hurry things. When a bone heals, it's healed. A tendon can stay vulnerable for a lot longer. And just to cheer you up even more, the physio hurts like f**k. Seriously bro, all the best. Really, don't try to rush it.
martin 332
Had a bit of a mishap while chopping a Roe head in half for the dogs earlier, and just got back from A&E having been told that I've only gone and severed a bloody tendon. And trust me I know how bad that can be as I done 3 fingers and the main one in the wrist back 2001 .....3 months in plaster,I am really pi55ed off I can tell you!!! In the casualty aftert taking off the wrapping....... and, starting to get a bit worried as the blood is pooling up a bit now......... By the way, they have sent me home to come back on Monday(maybe)or Tuesday to have an operation, and right now it is throbbing like a ba5tard!!! If you look at the top pic you can see the end of the tendon at the left hand side...... Martin Martin i cant understand why they are leaving it so long i did the tendons in two fingers 30 odd stitches doctor that did mine said the tendon starts to shrink thats why he did it same day Bob,I slashed 4 tendons in the same arm in 2001 and it took them 4-5 days to do it back then and that was in Frenchay(Bristol),any way as my next post will say,it has been done today,I got a phonecall at 0800hrs this morning askig me to come in...........Martin
martin 332
I've just got back from the hospital, and somehow I had cut the tendon(Extensor Pollicis Longus)into three pieces ,god only knows how mind,oh and I also had chopped into the bone just to put the tin lid on it!!!! And,right about now the anaesthetic is starting to wear off,and it is Fecking killing me,and it is in plaster too now. Martin.
martin 332
looks a dull one, was it one of those you knew straight away or after you wondered where the blood was coming from? lol what you more p****d about the actual injury or being able to do next to nothing for the next 3 month? hope it all heals ok? To be honest,at first I was hoping that I had juyst slapped it with the flat of the blade, but,I had under my armpit for a while before checking it,and then I knew it was a serious one,and asked my neighbour to dro me up the hospital(I've got good neighbours luckily,he just dropped what he wass doing and took me straight up) Martin
