its called THE HUNTING LIFE half them ain't got a clue about dogs but they sh1t hot on a computer

Lads who said about feeding pasta...   I have read a few times that dogs do not use carbs for energy like humans. And that they get energy from fat. Is this correct or not?   Gaz.

wee bit pasta 2 hours before you go? carbs = energy

spot on...

pasta burns slowly = releasing energy slow and steady.....

perfect.

and carry some Hypostop in your pocket if your going out with the serious lamping lads.

If your planing on going out at night feed in the day as normal. Then just befor you go out the door lamping use B12 vit and electrolytes and after every good run give a couple of squirts of electrolytes.

if i had to do that with my dog id be looking at my fitness training. sorry mate just being honest.

No worries mate...whys that then mate.Im always happy to learn.

The electrolytes will help with cramps from losing salt ect and build up of lactic acid in the muscle...That has nothing to do with fitness. your just replacing what has been lost. The b12 helps to produce energy rather than the dog running on a full belly.

If you lamp all night(and i mean all night) then some dogs wont feed when they get home. Obviously you have to put something in their system, so i use something very tasty like a tin of corned beef or luncheon meat. That way they have some food in their stomachs. I often give my dogs half a tin of something tasty about 5 or 6pm on the night they are running...
