TOMO 26,689
had a look up the dales wed night, not the best of conditions, no wind and the fog rolled in thik and fast, and to cap it off just i we got out the car at the begining of the night 2 other guys with dogs were just finishing oh well. the white bitch in the pics belongs to my old hunting parner, he often works away, so we only get out now and then, but it was this bitches first night on the bunnys, shes one of the pups i bred ast year. well we had an hour or two , nothing big and the white bitch cought her first rabbits 6 in total with a real soft retrive to soft in fact as she drops them at his feet only for them to run off and she recatches them,,, in fact she she proberbly had 25 rabbits she will lern. she has a real nice turn of pace, and finishes them with a quik gear change. early days of course but it looks promising. my bitch cought 8 nothing special,,,, but just bad conditions for both dogs,, with some real long slips . all in all a good night, we could have carried on but with the bad conditions had an early night. artic 595
Well done Tomo. My deerhound cross use to come running with the catch backwards and forwards, up and down ect, (talk about biting my tongue), then a little older he'd come in about 10yrds away and stay with his catch,(still alive with the odd drop and stamp on the thing with his paw), Now a little more older he brings them back at arms length or so and still alive. Not perfection, but good enough for me. Nice dogs ,well done to all. Quote Link to post
