jpt 285
Do you get a better long dog if you use a whippet at stud or greyhound? JPT Quote Link to post
samba 534
PEOPLE IN WHIPPET RACING [NON PED]HAVE BEEN USING GREYHOUND STUDS OVER THERE WHIPPET BITCHES WITH THE SAME RESULTS Quote Link to post
Borderer 0
It's always difficult trying to generalise on any cross, some good and some not so good I guess. I own a whippet/greyhound x saluki/greyhound, lovely dog, speed to burn but no brains. She only has one speed, flat out so has had plenty of injuries over the years. Her coat is also very poor and doesn't give her much protection from the weather. I'm sure other similar x's are ok dogs but as all my dogs stay with me until the end, regardless of their ability, I wouldn't have another of similar breeding - just in case. Oh and as whippet boy says, mine isn't the brightest of dogs either.......... Edited January 16, 2007 by Borderer Quote Link to post

Borderer 0
DO YOU THINK ITS LACK OF BRAINS IS FROM THE SALUKI CROSS ? I would guess so................. The other funny thing about my dog is that she is the lasiest dog - of any breed - that I have ever come across. I don't think she'd bother if i never took her out ever again. She is a beauty to look at but never an out & out worker imo. Quote Link to post

Morris 0
I had a a whipet x grey. She was a great wee dog, very very game, anything that moved was in her sights. There very fast, with alot off brians. she tended to get cold quick though. you had too know the dog so you didn't bust her, as she would try and run all night. If i had more room around the house i would, and will own another. Get one you won't regret it. Quote Link to post
