BEARINATOR 2,869
They do a separate keepering course, I think the countryside course is more the farming side Quote Link to post
hillkeeper101 0
they have stopped doing there keepering course i think mate .either newton rigg or borders will be your best bet .the countryside courses are too vague and dont go in depth into keepering hope this helps fraser Quote Link to post
Hunting Lad 50
do they do a keeping course? or does the countryside and enviroment course cover keeping, and anyone going there next september? I am considering doing a keepering course myself in september think I am going to apply for newton rigg. Going to try and get an apprenticeship but I think it is looking like I will have to go and do the course full time as I am finding it difficult finding someone to take on a trainee. Also I am looking to do a bit of voluntary work in the mean time aswell hopefully that will help my prospects. Been in touch with a few farms that rear gamebirds just waiting for a couple of people to get back to me.. All the best anyway mate hope you get a course sorted Regards Ben Quote Link to post
Rothbury Shooter 0
cheers for the help, im thinking of going to bishop burton down in york? but i possibly could get an apprenticeship with a keeper up here (near rothbury) so if i went to hull i wouldnt be able too :/ Quote Link to post
