CarraghsGem 92
after the theft of my lakeland x fell terrier bitch i advertised her disapearance on many sites including pet forums one woman believes i should offer a reward "no questions asked" to the friends of the traveller lad who stole her for her safe return i wont be paying any reward to this lad or his mates for the return of my own dog. my reason being i believe it would encourage him to steal any of my dogs including ones which he would otherwise see no value in like my husbands chocolate labrador pup or my part-trained homebred sheepdog bitch, or my 9yr old pet parson x bitch, i believe it means i only have to provide extra security now for my 2 fell terriers, i also think if i keep the advertising up especially in my locality and on the net he wont be able to sell her and will eventually dump her and i will get her back that way. what do you guys think about this new culture of paying dog theives for the return of your own dog? DogMagic 461
If you adverise a reward he will see an chance for a few quid, phone you up and arrange to meet to swap dosh for dog. Instead of giving him money, give him a wheelchair and take your dog home. "i also think if i keep the advertising up especially in my locality and on the net he wont be able to sell her and will eventually dump her and i will get her back that way." Yes wrapped in a bin liner in a ditch probably. Dog thieves are the ultimate scum, nasty, horrid evil little c**ts and will think nothing of putting a shovel over its head if they think its getting to hot.
scothunter 12,609
well no harm in offering, with the sole intention of the only you give him when he turns up is a good f*****g hiding. anyway you gotta ask how daft would he be to turn up to collect his reward.i know where you comming from though whats a few quid to get your dog back.suppose its the principl of paying for your own property.yea is one to ponder. Guest thebigdog
are they proper van driving, sister riding, ill sell you a fireplace type gypos. if so find the boss tinker, they have a pecking order from the king of the gypos down(not joking)go find him and tell him what happened, he will more than likely get your dog back and give the wee b@stard a hiding, because they hate any friction with the static comunity. also if he offers you any panasonic curtins or sony floorboards just say no. Obviously No one wants their dog stolen in the first place and also as you say if you take on one scummy p***y you take on ALL scummy pikeys and there will only be one outcome. What are your other ideas? They might be usefull for others who find themselves in this situation.

Attack Fell Terrier 864
Like has already been said, If you know 100% who's taken the dog, tell them you'll pay and that you just want your dog back, when they turn up have a few of your lads waiting and give them a good lashing for their cheek. If you do pay them even as much as a thank you, I'd bet that they'll rob you again. Best of luck getting the dog back.
